Everything wonderful, the food, the atmosphere. The bartender was very good, our waitress Lia was spectacular, it was our first time and we will surely return. Highly recommended.
Gabriel the bartender, thank you for being so inviting with a smile upon stopping in! Great happy hour and what an upscale ambiance with even a nice view of the Erie canal. Please do stop into this hotel bar! I did not eat here so I do not know about the food. The bar is very clean!
Haven't been here in a few years but I returned last night to find everything is still excellent. The food was incredible from the duck meatballs to the waygu meatloaf and raspberry creme brulee. Our server Matt was spot on. I'll remember to come back more often!

We came in last minute with our family, and despite how busy the night was, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and kind, they truly made us feel taken care of from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Matt K, who went above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality stood out. When he overheard that it was my mom’s birthday the next day, he gifted us dessert, such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to our family. Between the exceptional service, amazing food, and a team that clearly cares, Erie Grill made our Christmas Eve truly special. We can’t wait to return!

The experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the stage for a delightful meal. The decor is tasteful and inviting, offering a serene atmosphere that's a cut above the typical chain restaurant. The breakfast options were varied and delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the quality was evident in every bite. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining experience. One of the standout features of Erie Grill is the stunning view. Overlooking the serene river, the restaurant offers a picturesque setting that's perfect for a relaxing meal. It's a refreshing change from the generic ambiance of chain eateries. Overall, Erie Grill delivers exceptional quality and ambiance at a price comparable to IHOP. We would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a superior dining experience without breaking the bank. Staff was pleasant too.
Great place to treat yourself! Food is delicious and beautifully presented. Servers are awesome- friendly, knowledgeable and on top of everything without being intrusive. They do have gluten free bread and a few gluten free options. There's plenty of parking outside. Definitely make a reservation, even if you are staying at the hotel, because this place is popular with locals as well and there is limited seating. It's on the expensive side, but you would pay about the same for counter service to get a latte and a breakfast sandwich at the coffee shop down the way, so enjoy the great service and better food here instead.
Wow!! This place is a secret. Tucked behind a hotel is this five star delight. The menu has so many incredible options we had a difficult time deciding. We ended up ordering the specials (lamb wellington and seabass) so we could come back and enjoy the regular menu options. Everything from the appetizers to drinks was perfection. Excellent pairing of flavors. So impressed! If you're a foodie, give this place a chance!
Had fun in the bar, in large measure because of Gabriel, the bartender. Very personable and great knowledge of music. Great selection of whiskeys. Duck meatballs were outstanding. Got a bottle of Tignanello at a fair price. Del Monte now our go-to hotel in Rochester.
The best French onion soup I’ve ever tasted. Meatloaf was super decadent, rich, and flavourful. The mashed potatoes and veg were cooked just perfectly.
Pricey but totally worth it! I had the lamb chops, excellent and done perfectly medium rare, with roasted tiny taters and white and green roasted asparagus. We shared baked oysters, the cream of asparagus soup was awesome, and the swordfish special au pouivre on a bed of matchstick fries was superb. Nice attentive waitstaff. Great wine list too!
